Hello! My name is Xavier Berdaguer. I live in a small flat in
Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain), with my wife Laura. I am Graduate in Library Science but I have almost always worked for IT industry.
I became interested in medals and decorations in 1996 - this, together with my early childhood interest on the Imperial Japanese Navy, made me study the Japanese awards. There is few and scattered information avalaible on them, so I decided to build this site in 1999.
Other collecting interests are postcards (see page Military Postcards) and visiting WWI and WWII battlefields on holidays.
